Local outreach This class will be a hands-on local outreach class. A number of our classes will be outreaches outside the classroom. Sessions that are held in the classroom will consist of preparing for outreaches and we would like to have some local outreach ministry leaders come share their heart for outreach with our students. Outreaches we are looking at include: helping at a food pantry, bringing a hot meal to police station or fire dept., and visiting shut in seniors.

Consumer Math Bring mathematics down to earth---and show how abstract financial concepts relate to our everyday lives! Covering topics including budgeting, banking, investing, keeping tax records, and purchasing daily necessities, this elective includes sample problems, charts, graphs, and clarifying illustrations. Practical and faith-friendly, it portrays the American free-enterprise system in a positive light. This class can be used for 1/2 high school credit. There will be homework in order for the credit to count.

Health Occupations Essentials
This class will provide the high school student with the basic entry-level knowledge and skills required for a variety of health occupations. This class will provide some of the core knowledge and skills that can be used in different health care fields.

Asian Cultural Studies--THIS CLASS IS FULL Students will explore the culture, food, history, and lifestyles of various Asian countries. Students will be taught some phrases of different countries.

U.S. Constitutional Literacy The Constitution was not written in the name of our leaders, but by the authority of "We the People." It was expected that the people would enforce leaders' duty to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. This curriculum, developed by Michael Farris of the HSLDA, teaches the history of our nation's most important document and provides the training for a proper understanding of American liberty. Lifeskills THIS CLASS IS FULL Topics will include: manners, interviewing and social media etiquette; budgeting, banking and finances; Various responsibility topics; living arrangements; basic meals for living; scheduling and time management.. .to name a few! Students will go through the entire process (simulated) of finding a job, budgeting, finding living arrangements, and everyday tasks.
Students should come with a dedicated journal for this class on the first day.

Dig Deeper Learn how to get more out of God's word. The Bible may seem overwhelming, but it does not have to be. You will learn how to study your Bible in this class. There will be light homework. Bibles required.
