Foundations: Based on Ken Ham's DVD series by the same name, we will be viewing a DVD each week and working through a workbook tackling tough questions like: Can we really trust the Bible? Why is there evil allowed in the world? Can science confirm the Bible? Ken Ham has a style that uses humor to get a point across. Class discussion will be guided based on the videos. Outside work will be minimal if any.

Beginning Dissections: This Dissection class is an Introduction Class. It should be taken by students who have never performed dissections before. We will dissect 5 specimens at the minimum. We may venture out a little more if the students are ready. I will cover safety in the lab, how to classify animals, and the proper technique used in the lab to study the internal anatomy of a “once” living organism. Let’s Do It. (FULL! Entrepreneurship 101: In this fun very hands-on class, your student will learn valuable skills like time & money management, marketing, product development, finding your niche with consumers and more! Each student will be asked to earn, not just be given, seed money ($20) by week 2 of class. They will develop a business plan, start working that plan, present that plan to investors and start their own business. Business fair will be our last day of class.

Penny Candy: Whatever Happened to Penny Candy is an easy and fun explanation of money (its origin and history), the dollar (its origin and history), recessions, inflation, government (its economic behavior), and more. This class will satisfy the GA high school DOE 1/2 unit for economics under the Social Studies/Sciences requirements. There will be outside work and quizzes/tests. Price of the class includes the seventh edition of the book by the same name and copies from the workbook.

Automotive Care: In this basic automotive class, students will learn how to maintain their automobile, such as checking fluids, changing flat tire, some safety practices, and may have some quick fixes to get them safely off the side of the road.

Missions: In this class, we will explore the need for missions, become comfortable sharing the gospel, study current and historical missionaries, and participate in local missions. This class will prepare students to be on mission wherever God plants them.

Crochet: Learn the basics of crochet including the chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet and more. We will learn a bit about the history of crochet as well as types of yarn, hooks, and how to read patterns. The goal will be to complete several small basic projects. Discovering Georgia: Explore the uniqueness of our state from the historical to the odd. This class will look at many different places, events, and way of life that makes our state unique. We will talk about state historic sites, the state parks and what they offer, as well as towns and places that make our state special. There will be some local field trips offered for this class which might involve hiking and exploring. These field trips will involve fees that are not covered by the class fee. (FULL!
